MarketingPosition DescriptionAt a GlanceLegrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join the Data, Power & Control Divison in New London, CT.
The Product Manager will be responsible for the complete management of Legrand's Fiber Optic Connectivity product line, including product strategy, roadmap, requirements, pricing, forecasting, sales support, long-term planning, and budget planning.
Main Job Duties:
Strategy Formulation:
lead the long-term vision for the Fiber Optic Connectivity product line, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, market share gain, and profitability Product Roadmap:
develop multi-year product roadmaps based on research into long-term trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis Product Requirements:
translate customer needs obtained through field visits, and customer meetings (channel, specifiers, consultants, end-users) to maintain a constant flow of new products and product enhancements.
Business Management:
own pricing strategy, support forecasting, provide sales support & training, respond to sales questions, prepare major launches & sales events (e.
g.
Global Sales Conference, Road Shows).
Product Stewardship:
participate in catalog development, develop sell sheets, product bulletins & promotional campaigns with the sales & marcom team, and support product launches.
Budget planning:
monitor & review product line performance & trends to evaluate budget.
Performs other similar and related duties as required.
QualificationsEducation:
BS in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related
Experience:
4 -7 years of experience in Product Management or marketing-related roles with fiber optic productsSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail, and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines, and control several projects at various stages of work.
Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail, and meeting management software.
Ability to use the internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract the necessary information, and validate understanding of the information.
Demonstrated ability to understand customers' needs and identify new ways to serve/satisfy customers.
Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
Promotes an environment that encourages cohesiveness and fosters trust and open communication with the team, peers, and all business partners.
Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.
